Cure SMA
A tradition built around hope.
Gillian and Martin Faith established an annual golf tournament fundraiser after their nephew was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Since 2003, this event has been held in the Denver area and has become a meaningful tradition within the Scottish Stained Glass community.
Spinal Muscular Atrophy is a devastating genetic disease that affects motor nerve cells and is a leading genetic cause of death in infants. Over the years, this fundraising effort has helped support research, awareness, and hope for families affected by SMA.

The annual Cure SMA Rocky Mountain Golf Outing brings friends, families, sponsors, and supporters together for a day of competition, connection, and hope.

The Cure SMA Rocky Mountain Golf Outing
A foursome-style tournament built around friendly competition and a much deeper purpose.
The morning begins early at The Club at Pradera. Players arrive with their clubs, check in, take a few practice swings, and prepare for a full morning on one of Colorado’s most beautiful and challenging golf courses.
Behind the scenes, volunteers and organizers are already at work — preparing carts, organizing event materials, arranging prizes, and making sure everything is ready for the day ahead.
The tournament brings together men and women, longtime friends, new supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and families for a foursome-style competition with a much deeper purpose.
Once the carts are ready, teams head onto the course. The morning unfolds against sweeping Colorado views, cool mountain air, and plenty of friendly competition. Old friends reconnect. New friendships form. Some golfers show off impressive skills. Others simply enjoy being part of the day.
But throughout the tournament, the reason everyone has gathered remains clear. Every foursome, every sponsor, every raffle item, every volunteer, and every donation helps support Cure SMA and its work advancing research, providing resources, and supporting families affected by spinal muscular atrophy.
After the final holes are played, everyone comes back together for lunch, prizes, conversation, and a chance to celebrate the people who helped make the event possible. Everything raised through the tournament is donated in support of Cure SMA.
And each year, the goal is simple: bring more people together, welcome more teams and sponsors, raise more support, and continue building a stronger community around families affected by SMA.
Why it began
For the Faith family, the purpose is deeply personal.
The tournament began in honor of Gillian and Martin Faith’s nephew, Daniel, who was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). Today, the event continues in his memory and in support of every family affected by the disease.

Global impact
Project C.U.R.E.
Historic glass. Global care.
Through support of Project C.U.R.E., Scottish Stained Glass extended the impact of its craft far beyond the studio. Founder Martin Faith sold a portion of his personal collection of restored antique stained glass, using the proceeds to fund the shipment of a full container of critical medical supplies and equipment to underserved communities in Belize.
This effort transformed historic craftsmanship into tangible humanitarian support, helping provide hospitals and clinics with the resources needed to care for patients.
